Dr. Publio Silfa

Dr. Silfa has brought his years of experience and warm personality to Silfa Dental, making him more than capable of being the dentist for you in Commack.

Dr. Silfa has known he has wanted to be a dentist for a long time. He loves to make people smile and which he could directly do so on a daily basis.

He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic in 2003. While there, he was involved in extensive research studying the relationship between cardiovascular disease and gum disease. Following his return to the U.S., he completed his three-year post-graduate residency from 2009-2012 at Columbia Medicine and spent the next year as a Chief Resident at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

He has remained up-to-date on the latest developments in his field including those in cosmetics, Invisalign, and implant dentistry. He also remains active in the dental community as a member of the American Dental Association.

In his free time, Dr. Silfa enjoys dancing, working out, learning new things, and spending time with his family and children. He also likes to run and is currently training for his first triathlon.
